New for the spring of 2010 through a partnership with Eagle Eye Lodge, we will be offering lodging and a "do it yourself" style fishing adventure. The lodge is a 1,400 square foot, two-story, two-bedroom home, located across from the town of Thorne Bay, and access is by water or by airplane only. Sleeping 6 people comfortably, it includes a fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, freezers, ice machine, and even a commercial grade vacuum packer. The house rental includes a four-wheel drive, four-door jeep, two 16-foot skiffs with fish finders, fishing poles, crab pots, and a 40x60 foot private dock equipped with a fish cleaning building...everything needed to be able to start your fishing experience upon arrival. RATES: $350 per night, single or double occupancy, plus 6% city sales tax and 4% bed tax. Each additional person $75 per night (Note: clients are also responsible for lost or damaged boats & equipment, and must provide proof of own insurance coverage for jeep use--call Krissy or Red for the jeep license and VIN #) Thorne Bay has a variety of services available including grocery store, liquor store, post office, gas stations & marina. The only things not included are fishing licenses, boat gas, bait & food, but all of those are readily available right there in Thorne Bay. If cooking is not your thing, there is an option for catered dinners by the managers, Krissy and Red, who live nearby. The rates are comparable to other self-serve lodging in the area.
